 That is, without doubt, the biggest win of Tomasz Marczynski's career. The 33-year-old has twice been Polish national champion and he won the Tour du Maroc in 2015 but this is obviously on a different level.

 After the breakaway succeeded on stage 5, the peloton saw the opportunity again to make an early move stick. While Wednesday saw some 17 riders make it clear of the bunch, Thursday’s stage 6 to Sagunt surpassed that.
The pace in the opening kilometres matched the weather, hot in every sense, with repeated attacks flying off the front. After more than 30 kilometres of racing, a breakaway began to form, first with 20 riders but that ballooned to 37 before settling at 27.

 How it panned out

The break of the day formed in three instalments after the race left the start in Benicassim, with Julian Alaphilippe (Quick-Step Floors) leading a nine-man squadron clear after six kilometres, and seven chasers bridging up to them shortly afterwards, before Matvey Mamykin (Katusha-Alpecin) made it across alone to bring the complement up to 17 riders.

 Trentin wins makes add awhole news of him winning stages in all the three grand tours from Tour de France in 2013 and Giro d'Italia in last year’s Giro d’Italia Stephane Rossetto (Team Cofidis) and Diego Rubio (Cajal Rural) try to hold off the peloton during stage four.
 How it happend

 In contrast to Sunday’s stage 2, where the constant threat of crosswinds meant no breakaway was seen all day, Tuesday's stage – the second of only four flat sprint stages at this Vuelta – quickly settled into a more familiar pattern.

Starting the Vuelta a Espana in Nimes was always going to mean an early trip to the Pyrenees for the peloton.
Stage 3 would pit the riders against their first major mountain test with a tough ride into Andorra La Vella. Following a lengthy neutral section, the break was quick to form with Caja Rural’s Fabricio Ferrari igniting the move. Thomas de Gendt (Lotto-Soudal), David Villella (Cannondale-Drapac) and Anthony Turgis (Cofidis) followed him across the gap, and were later joined by Axel Domont, Alexandre Geniez (AG2R La Mondiale) and Fernando Orjuela (Manzana Postobon) after a short chase.

Blue skies greeted the peloton in the ancient city of Nimes, France, but the riders were too nervous of the predicted strong crosswinds to enjoy the atmosphere. The 203-km long stage took off after a long neutralized section.





Trek-Segafredo set a a high pace at the front, preventing breaks and keeping things under control for GC candidate Alberto Contador and stage win candidate John Degenkolb.

BMC Racing wins Vuelta a espana team time trial in Nimes

Team BMC Racing wins opening stage one Vuelta a Espana Team time trial in Nimes, France.








 Beating world team time trial champions as they powered to a well solidify victory, they let Australian time trial specialist Rohan Dennis to cross the line in first position to become the wearer of the red leaders jersey.

 The 13.7km team time trial in Nimes, France, was a winding affair that included little in the way of vertical challenge. Manzana Postobon led off the nine-man teams in the evening stage, but it was Bora-Hansgrohe that flew over the course in 16:19 that set the early mark to beat. Led by Rafal Majka, the team blasted past earlier leader Lotto Soudal by just three seconds.
