Gideon Akina (Development Cycling Team) wins Ph junior boys race 2017,

First Cycling Race in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, South South, Nigeria was kick start with Under18 Junior boys category in the city of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

How it unfolded in short open race.

The first race of the year kick started with the (Development Cycling Team) fighting out each other to win the first race of the year. But the eventuall race winner will be Gideon Akina who outsprinted Bright Emmanuel in the battle of the finish line to win the Criterium Cycling Race as Favour Fashonu wrap up third place overrall.
Meanwhile other riders suffered bike mechanical fault and others been drop when the boys turn on the pressure of the race.
Great to see athletes returning from off-season with fine form and they where awarded with speedometers to encourage their efforts.
