Rui Costa (UAe Abu Dhabi) former World Road Race cycling champion destroyed Vuelta a San field to win queens stage five in Alto Colorado, Rodolfo Torres (Androni Giocattoli-Sidermec) came second and Ricardo Escuela (Agrupacion Virgen De Fatima finish third in the podium.
