Tejay van Garderen (BMC Racing) nets his first grand tour career win in Ortisei ahead of (Team Sky) Mikel Landa in two man up sprint, Grand Tour stage victory, Giro d'Italia.

 Van Garderan (BMC Racing)  ousted mountains classification leader Mikel Landa (Sky). The 137km stage kicked off under clear skies in Moena. With the day's lumpy profile – and plenty of mountains points on offer – it did not take long for the breakaway hopefuls to open hostilities at the head of the pack.
